BMW Continues the Tradition of Rider Appreciation Events at Daytona
We all know that Daytona Bike Week is not exactly a rider’s paradise. Yes, it’s justly famous for manic Main Street nightlife and tacky storefronts. And there are plenty of motorcycles. But for many BMW riders, the novelty of the spectacle wears off quickly. That’s why almost every year, BMW supplements a full week of demo rides and static motorcycle displays with a “rider appreciation” event at Daytona.

As with any potentially dangerous activity, before you get started you have to be properly prepared. People don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan; and that’s the same attitude you need to take when hopping aboard your motorcycle, whether it be for a jaunt down the street, a rally, racing or some freestyle riding. The first bit of preparation needs to be to your motorcycle.

An Amazing Start by BMW for another Year of Successful Racing
The 2008 racing season in the U.S. started a few weeks ago, yet BMW has already grabbed several podium finishes in the ASRA/CCS road racing circuits, MOTO-ST endurance races and the Sandblast Rally. Perhaps the most impressive showing by BMW racing teams wasn’t a podium finish but crossing the checkered flag in 5th position at the iconic, 69-lap, 200 miles of Daytona 200 on Saturday, March 8th.
